THE CONNECTION BOUTIQUE
THE CONNECTION BOUTIQUE
The Connection Boutique was founded by Jodi and Kiera, two passionate educators with extensive experience in early childhood education, mainstream education, special education, leadership, and support coordination. Our journey into the therapy space was driven by a commitment to early identification, family education, and goal-focused support.
With 12+ years in education and the disability sector, we have grown from classroom educators to team and whole-school leaders, giving us a deep understanding of how to support individuals with disabilities and diverse needs. This experience has shaped our ability to work holistically, ensuring individuals receive targeted, meaningful, and manageable support.
We are not your typical clinical therapist - Our expertise lies in development and educational theories, supporting families to understand individual learning styles, strengths, and support needs. Our approach is grounded in evidence-informed practice and a commitment to empowering families with the knowledge and practical strategies they need to confidently support and advocate for their loved ones. Our work is informed by professional standards under the Queensland College of Teachers and supported by registration with Education Queensland, and aligns with the expectations of the National Disability Agency and NDIS scheme.
By keeping support relevant, realistic, and achievable, we aim to reduce the overwhelm that can often arise when navigating the disability support system. We recognise that every family is unique, and we work in partnership with them to break down complex needs into manageable steps. This allows for steady, meaningful progress without adding unnecessary pressure, ensuring that supports are practical, sustainable, and aligned with each person’s real-world environment.
We focus on:
Early screening to identify developmental differences and unique learning styles
Data-informed, person-centred support planning that uses insights from observations, assessments, and family input to guide meaningful, individualised strategies
Practical, goal-focused skill development, tailored to each individual
Collaborative care, working alongside families, educators, and therapists to create manageable and effective support plans
Inclusive practices that help individuals thrive in both early childhood and throughout their lifespan
Support to access the NDIS, including guidance on eligibility and funding utilisation
