Supporting Your Child’s Development with The Connection Boutique
At The Connection Boutique, we believe in walking alongside families to support children in a way that is respectful, strengths-based, and family-led. Our role is to work collaboratively - listening, learning and work together, to ensure that each child is supported in a way that aligns with their unique strengths, needs, and identity.
We focus on early support and practical strategies to help children develop confidence, skills, and independence. Using developmental screenings and inclusive learning strategies, we work with families to understand each child's individual needs and create a manageable, effective plan for success.
How We Can Support Your Family
❤️ Developmental Screening – Identifying early or ongoing developmental needs and learning styles.
❤️ Led Learning – Following your guidance to support your child’s strengths, needs, and goals.
❤️ Education Strategies – Working with families and educators to create meaningful learning pathways for success.
❤️ NDIS Access & Support – Helping families navigate the NDIS if additional supports are needed.
❤️ Reducing Barriers – Making support manageable, practical, and easy to follow, keeping families connected and in control.
Empowering families by ensuring every child grows up confident, capable, and supported in their journey.
Developmental Screening
Our early developmental screening is designed to provide insight your child’s development and offer guidance on any additional support that may be beneficial to support their needs.
The screening aims to identify developmental strengths and areas where additional support may help.
Early identification of strengths and challenges can assist in providing the right strategies to support children in their learning and everyday activities.
What’s Involved?
✔ Classroom Observation – A Early Childhood Professional will observe your child in their learning environment, focusing on key areas such as communication, social interaction, behaviour, mobility, and self-care skills (this can be adapted to the home environment if your child does not attend childcare).
✔ PEDI-CAT Assessment – A parent-completed questionnaire that provides insight into your child’s functional abilities, including daily activities, behaviour, mobility, and cognitive/social skills.
✔ Results & Next Steps – We will review the findings with you and discuss whether any additional early intervention supports could be helpful. If needed, we can also provide guidance on funding options for early intervention through NDIS access.
